Join the Black Student Awareness Committee to celebrate and honor the sacrifices and contributions of African American women on and off the campus of the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
The 2012 Black Women’s Appreciation Awards will take place on Wednesday, March …28, 2012 in the HUC Great Hall at 7:30pm. During the program, awards will be presented to outstanding African American women of UAB as well as food and performances.
Our guest speaker will be Lauren Lake. She is a multi-faceted television personality, a certified Renaissance Woman, who simultaneously balances a diverse career as a licensed attorney, interior designer relationship expert, and motivational speaker. She is one who personifies the boundless potential that lies within us all. She remains committed to motivating others to pursue their passions and get the most out of life and love, with her strategies for “Limitless Living” and “Negotiating in Relationships”.
